HBS Alumni Angels of Greater New York Investor Meeting and Company Presentations

We invite you to join HBS Alumni Angels for a set of presentations by young companies in midtown Manhattan. You will be able to meet privately with these companies later in the evening.

This evening is exclusively for members of the HBS Alumni Angels.  Our members are required to be accredited investors (per SEC regulations) and are expected to agree to the terms of the HBSAANY Membership Agreement. Please note that we expect our members to invest at least $25,000/year in early-stage investments, although there is no contractual commitment to do so.

Presenting Companies:

CyberIQ Services (www.cyberiq.com) applies traditional counter intelligence practices to "Big Data" analytics to proactively prevent enterprise cyber-security attacks.  CyberIQ leverages a unique combination of cross-sector collaboration to protect key resources and critical infrastructure, situational awareness to mitigate cyber-attacks, and unprecedented security data to enable collective intelligence.

LexSpot (lexspot.com) is disrupting the $100 billion consumer legal market.  As stated in LegalZoom's recent S-1 filing, "small businesses and consumers lack an efficient and reliable way to find high quality, trustworthy attorneys."  LexSpot is the solution, shepherding clients through the process of finding an attorney using intelligent search tools, client reviews, fee transparency, and a scheduling tool that enables consumers to book consultations instantly.

Manhattan Food Brands (www.manhattanfb.com) acquires and grows value-priced, branded consumer food companies.  In November 2011, Manhattan Food Brands acquired Madhouse Munchies, a 'distressed' potato chip brand, to form a beachhead in salty snacks.  In February 2012, Manhattan Food Brands acquired Vermont Mystic Pies, a 'stressed' frozen apple pie company founded by former Ben & Jerry's executives, to form a beachhead in sweet snacks.

Rentricity (www.rentricity.com) is a water tech company that recovers energy from excess pressure in pipes to produce clean, renewable electricity.  Rentricity works with municipal and industrial water facilities to deploy its technology, using excess pressure to spin turbines and generate clean electricity without affecting utility operations.  Systems also feature integrated smart monitoring capabilities.

VeoMed (www.veomed.com) is a cloud based medical communication and epublishing company that partners with academic centers of excellence and healthcare organizations to expand online access to medical knowledge.  VeoMed’s mission is to bring real-time learning capabilities to the fingertips of healthcare professionals so they can easily access needed information in an interactive multimedia format anytime, anywhere, and from any device.
